Police reportedly searched the Northern Virginia home of gun rights activist and former Marine Adam Kokesh Tuesday night.
MyFoxDC.com reports that authorities blocked off roads near Kokesh's Herndon home and advised residents to stay indoors while a search warrant was being served.
Kokesh drew national media attention after posting a Fourth of July video on YouTube, in which he is seen loading a shotgun in Freedom Plaza in Washington.
It is illegal to carry guns in the District of Columbia.
